Overview
We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Janitorial Supervisor to oversee a team of up to 10 cleaning staff responsible for maintaining a 2.2 million square foot Walmart facility. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with extended periods of walking and physical activity, ensuring that the building remains clean and well-maintained during night hours.
Pay: $21.08/hr
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Shift: Sunday - Wednesday | 6pm - 4:30am
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
Supervise and direct a janitorial team of up to 10 staff members during the night shift
Ensure all team members follow cleaning schedules, safety protocols, and company policies
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to staff to ensure consistent quality
Manage staff attendance and work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
Operational Oversight:
Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of a 2.2 million square foot Walmart building, ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained
Monitor the cleanliness of high-traffic areas, restrooms, break rooms, and other designated spaces
Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly used and maintained
Conduct routine inspections to ensure that cleaning standards are being met
Problem Solving & Quality Control:
Quickly address any cleaning or maintenance issues that arise during the shift
Provide solutions for operational challenges, such as staff shortages or equipment breakdowns
Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and available for staff use throughout the shift
Maintain strong communication with management regarding any facility or staff concerns
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Ensure that team members are aware of and follow OSHA safety regulations
Address and resolve any safety hazards immediately
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of janitorial or custodial experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable with extended periods of walking in a large facility
Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, and best practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work the designated night shift hours of Sunday – Wednesday, 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices
