Overview

Pay: $185,000 - $215,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the growth, operational and financial success of his/her branch. The Branch Manager must lead a diverse team, engage in regular client interaction, develop internal and external relationships, deliver financial goals, manage, and forecast an accurate budget, manage vendors, interface with senior leadership and work to continuously develop operational team members.

Ideal candidates will possess a positive, can-do attitude and have a passion for helping others be successful. In this role, you will partner and consult with the local operations team, the national team and the client to drive win-win solutions. Successful candidates will bring a customer focused mindset as well as possess strong business and financial acumen skills. You will also provide support, direction and coaching to the site managers at each location.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership – communicate, motivate, inspire team members to perform at a higher level as a team

  • Overall Implementation of ABM/ABLE Engineering Services’ policies and procedures, engineering standards and safety programs in his/her assigned regional portfolio of managers and buildings. In addition, each manager will support and back-up all managers within his/her region with all accounts.

  • Human Resources and Payroll functions within a portfolio with emphasis on minimizing liability and risk exposure. Further, the Regional Engineering Manager will support client requests and manage client expectations for their designated portfolios.

  • Sales and Marketing objectives/efforts for the organization. This may include but is not limited to maintaining current client relationships, improving portfolio relationships and marketing to new clients. Participation in marketing, sales and local BOMA/IFMA events.

  • Client Service Delivery to assigned clients by supporting client requests and managing client expectations for their designated portfolios.

  • Implementation and Documentation of Site Operational & Safety Plans and all ABM/ABLE Engineering Services operational standards and guidelines as well as site specific standards, policies and procedures relating to the engineering department.

  • Technica l Management of the local workforce to include Mechanical Operations, Energy Initiatives, Consistent Reporting, Auditing/Benchmarking of job sites and employee processes. Ability to work with and understand union contracts/non-union employment rules.

  • Training - safety, procedural, compliance and technical training for area employees.

  • Accounts Receivable - Facilitate accurate client billing and accounting, and client collection of account receivables is done in a timely manner.

  • Fiscal management and oversight of individual accounts as well as assigned managers under branch/district of responsibility. Includes content contribution for month end close and budgets.

  • People Management for ABM/ABLE Engineering Services’ employees. Facilitate career growth, opportunities, and development for all employees. Interviewing and Hiring of New employees. Coaching direct reports for improved performance and utilize corrective action as appropriate.

  • Communication – ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders including on site engineers, team members, clients, and other stakeholders to achieve tactical and strategic objectives.

  • Business Development – ability to develop and implement growth opportunities and new sales.

  • Business Acumen – quickness in understanding and dealing with a business situation (risks and opportunities) in a manner that is likely to lead to a positive outcome.

  • Financial Literacy – understanding the drivers of growth profitability and cash flow.

  • Presentation Skills – ability to engage your audience, clients, employees, and other stakeholders.

  • Decision Making Skills – identify essential issues, gather the most relevant information, focus on what is critical, integrate information and define reasonable alternatives, make decision.

  • Drives Results – able to focus on what is important, creates a sense of urgency, achieves results for self and team.

  • Manage and individually oversee higher echelon clientele base accounts that contribute largest margins to the region.

  • Deepen and manage client relationships (i.e., Directors, General Managers, Sr. Property Managers, Portfolio managers) for the region with elevated level of focus on large portfolio operational compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience

· 10 years of experience in engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

· Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from conception to completion.

· Strong technical expertise in areas such as HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation.

· Strong financial acumen. Ability to analyze a P&L.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. MUST work well with team members and have a strong desire to mentor and build teams.

· Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.

· Proficiency in project management tools and software.

· Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to engineering and construction.

· Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
