Overview

ABM is seeking a full-time Labor Event coordinator. This position will perform various duties relative to the set-up and breakdown of events and janitorial work in the facility. They are responsible working under the direct supervision of the Labor Event Manager and work alongside the Client Event Team, answering work order requests, inspecting equipment for damage after use, and checking equipment against an inventory list, among other duties. Main tasks are to setup and strike conference rooms for meetings and seminars & Stock conference rooms with required supplies.

Job Description

· Manage event software system

· Contact the University community to clarify event requirements

· Communicate with other departments for event needs (Media services, catering, custodial, conferences, events, etc.)

· Provide excellent service and communication to the client and employees

· Perform quality checks and inspections on event spaces

· Pre-event walk throughs of setups and breakdowns with event staff

· Maintain orderly event reports, collect feedback, etc.

· Attend weekly event and staff meetings

· Assist event hosts with creating floor plans, diagrams, etc.

· General data entry duties, office administration such as answering phone calls, emails, filing, copying, etc. when needed

· Greet and help walk-in visitors in a professional manner

· Handle other duties assigned by management

Requirements

· High school diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred

· Minimum of 3 years office administration experience or similar

· High energy level and enthusiasm

· Proficient in Microsoft office and EXCEL

· Familiarity with service ticket or work order systems

· Familiarity with School Dude work order systems is a plus

· Strong organizational skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Sense of urgency to complete tasks and meet deadlines; self-directed

· Ability to handle confidential information

· Ability to multi-task
