ABM Industries Part-time Brand Ambassador in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

Position: Brand Ambassador

Come be part of the excitement! Serve as a friendly source and representative of the ABC Ramps Mobility Hub during busy events. Events include the MN Twins baseball games, Timberwolves and Lynx games, concerts or any special event that brings a large amount of foot traffic to the facilities.

The ambassador will be required to interact with facility visitors which include parking customers and non-parking customers (people biking, using transit, or walking in or around the ramps) that are traveling through the property to their destination.

This position reports to the marketing manager and is part of the marketing department.

The ambassador’s primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Directions and wayfinding assistance to visitors within the ABC Ramps Mobility Hub system.

  • Assist guests with parking questions (example: how to use pay station or use an app)

  • May provide some concierge services to assist visitors (provide information on local restaurants, shopping, and attractions etc.)

  • Report maintenance, janitorial or safety concerns to appropriate departments.

  • Assist with marketing campaigns by interacting with visitors and handing out literature.

  • Monitoring mobility hub space: ensuring all elements are in proper order.

  • Data collection: keep track of visitor interactions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Ability to:

  • Verbally communicate information efficiently and effectively.

  • Interact with visitors and provide a positive guest experience.

  • Treat guests and colleagues with courtesy, respect, and dignity.

  • Demonstrates a willingness and ability to always help others.

  • Exhibit good customer service skills, actively listen to visitors’ needs and assist when needed.

  • The ability to work during busy event hours such as evening weekdays and/or weekends when needed. Work schedules will closely align with large venue event schedules.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Three years of experience providing face-to-face customer service.

  • Experience working in a family-oriented attraction or museum, retail, or educational setting a plus.

  • A friendly, outgoing customer service mentality.

  • A team player who enjoys a fun, busy work environment.

Physical demands:

  • Stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.

  • Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.

Part-time (hourly) position:

  • This position is in downtown Minneapolis and free parking during work hours is provided.

  • Hourly range: $20 an hour
