ABM Industries Maintenance Technician in Henniker, New Hampshire

Pay Range: $24-26/hourly

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will collaborate with clients, engineering leadership, and vendors to ensure the operational integrity of buildings. Your primary responsibilities will include ongoing facility maintenance, equipment repairs, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in basic general maintenance duties, including troubleshooting skills within this domain.

  • Independently troubleshoot and repair general maintenance deficiencies related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

  • Address issues such as lighting and ballast, fixture leaks, thermostat/temperature control, and MEP repairs.

  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively for repair and maintenance tasks.

  • Perform assigned preventative and reactive maintenance repairs, utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work performance.

  • Record all relevant data in building logbooks and ensure accurate daily entries.

  • Conduct basic routine MEP repairs and assist with tasks such as surface preparation, painting, minor drywall, and wood trim repair.

  • Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as necessary.

  • Assist in emergency situations as needed, ensuring all work areas are returned to a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience and/or trade school training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Ability to understand and provide general instructions in standard situations.

  • Proficient in operating manual and power-driven tools.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Customer service orientation.

  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and/or on-call duties as required.

  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work extended periods without relief during priority/emergency situations.
