Overview
The Driver/Sorter provides the sorting and picking up of trash, recycling, and composting
Pay: $21.70 an hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Shift: Monday – Friday 7pm - 3:30am

Responsibilities:
Route Driver
Put on required PPE
Drive a 16ft or 24ft vehicle to various buildings in Culver City
Pick up bins and create a pull list to track empty bins at each location for redeployment
Waste bags consolidated into fewer bins – trash bags tagged and labeled with buildings number
Track each trash enclosure to have the correct total amount of waste bins
Exchange full bins with the empty bins
Track each transfer enclosure to have the correct total amount of waste bins
Drop off and pick up extra empty bins needed to be redeployed
Sorting
· Put on required PPE
· Sort trash, recycling and composting
· Put a bag to the sorting table opened and sort bag
· When finished, put the sorted bag in the proper gondola
· Once gondolas are full they are taken to the designated compactor/hauler bin
· Notify supervisor of all unsorted bags at the end of shift
· Clean up the sorting area: floors, mat, bins, table, and walls dirtied by sorting
· Report requested data to Manager
· Notify supervisor of all unsorted bags at the end of shift
· Unlock and lock bins and compactors prior to and after sorting
· Secure or store sorting table
· General campus cleaning or other tasks as need / requested
E-Waste
• In association with laboratory personnel, collect used (expired) batteries and prepare for disposal to service provider.
• Other site e-waste pick up from employee offices such as monitors, headsets, speakers, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
· Valid driver’s license
· Clean driving record (1 point or less with approval from company’s car insurance)
· Previous experience of driving large vehicle is a plus
· Ability to handle physical workload
· Able to lift objects to shoulder height weighing up to 50lbs
· Ability to stand for an 8hr shift if needed
· Good eye hand coordination and the handiness to grasp and move items quickly and
repeatedly
· Experience with waste management is a plus (not required)
